Lokesh Sharma is director of the IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics India and is involved with all of the public health projects the Institute manages for the public health segment in India, as well as international aid organizations. He is also the Head of Government Solutions in India for IMS Health.
Lokesh has over a decade of experience in consulting and research with expertise in the Government sector. He has led various flagship and strategic projects for the clients in government and public sector and donor agencies. His key expertise are in areas of markets, service delivery, business management & development, account & projects management and product development. Key components of his projects included extensive work in policy formulation and advocacy, facilitating regulatory reforms, institutional strengthening and capacity building of government agencies, skill development, programme management, monitoring & evaluation and research & analytics.
Lokesh has worked with governments of both developing and developed states in India such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Tripura, Punjab, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Apart from the state government departments, he has also worked and led large Technical Assistance Programmes funded by the donor agencies such as DFID, ADB, IFC and the World Bank in many states. At the national level, Lokesh has worked with various ministries and agencies such as DIPP, MoCI, MoRD, NSDC, Invest India, India Brad Equity foundation (IBEF), CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM and EPCs.
Prior to IMS Health, Lokesh worked for Ernst & Young in the Government and M&A Practices for about seven years. He is an MBA in Finance and a graduate in commerce from Delhi University.
