Director, Research Development
Michael serves as research director for the IMS Institute, setting the research agenda for the institute, leading the development of reports and projects focused on the current and future role of biopharmaceuticals in healthcare in the U.S. and globally.
Each year, Michael leads the development of IMS's perspectives included in its annual "Year in Review" presentation as well as its review of the future outlook for the global pharma market. Michael writes and speaks regularly on these and other topics and he is sought after for his unique and pragmatic perspectives, backed by rigorous analysis and research, on issues of interest to pharmaceutical companies, financial analysts, trade groups, policy advocates and regulatory agencies.
Michael joined IMS in 1999 and held roles in customer service, marketing, product management, and in 2006 joined the Market Insights team, which in 2011 became the IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics.
Michael holds a BA degree in History and Political Science from the University of Essex, Colchester, UK, and an MA in Journalism and Radio Production from Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK.
