The health care system of Canada is currently based upon a system of socialized health insurance plans that provide coverage to all Canadian citizens.
It is publicly funded and administered on a provincial or territorial basis, within guidelines set by the federal government. However concerns regarding increasing drug costs and calls for a private based system similar to the U.S. renders this a challenging system to negotiate at present. In this environment the skills of IMS HEOR and our experience in the Canadian health system are invaluable.
