Alan Kent - Biography

Alan has over 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and biotechnology sectors. During his time in the European performance management consulting practice at IMS, with a focus on Medical Radar, he has been involved in many projects addressing business issues around product launch. Alan’s extensive experience in the launch and management of pharmaceutical brands provides clients with valuable strategic input and insights around improving product performance.

Alan’s background encompasses operational sales and marketing, business development and regional/global strategic marketing for launched and pre-marketed products. Over the course of his career he has accumulated a wealth of marketing expertise in a variety of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, diabetes, and CNS disorders.

Before joining IMS, Alan held a variety of industry positions in a number of different countries including the UK, Germany and the US. His roles included Country Marketing Director, Head of International Marketing and VP of New Product Strategic Marketing for a multinational pharmaceutical company. His team leadership and people management experience enable him to draw on first hand knowledge of implementing organisational change.

Alan holds an honours degree in biological sciences.
