IMS' involvement at the European ISPOR meeting this year will focus on building an effective health economics and outcomes research case and then communicating that value effectively.
At the event in Dublin, IMS will host its own symposium covering the keys points surrounding identifying and effectively communicating value. IMS is also presenting a number of workshops, podium presentations, along with poster presentations covering the latest findings from our research conducted in Health Economics and Outcomes Research.
The IMS Symposium at the upcoming European ISPOR conference 'Can you hear me now? Techniques for effectively communicating value to internal and external decision makers', looks at key issues surrounding the need for effectively developing and communicating value to internal and external decision makers. As pressure mounts for pharmaceutical companies to be more competitive and cost effective, there is an imperative to be accountable for ROI and to ensure alignment of global resources. HEOR is a key capability with increasing importance in achieving these goals - but its vital contribution must be communicated effectively.
With this in mind, the symposium will address:
-
The need to become more effective in planning and communicating value
-
Concepts for maximizing the value delivered by HEOR teams
The speakers include: Jonothan Tierce, Claude Le Pen, Adrian Kielhorn and Elisabeth Hazard.
IMS will also have noticeable presence in the plenary and poster sessions with over 60 presentations and involvement from across the company. A Pre-Conference Course will be held on the first day of the event covering European Databases and Retrospective Database Analysis, and a will present a number of workshops which will be held later in the Congress.
The IMS stand will offer a vast selection of information and collateral for visitors to refer to, and the IMS experts in HEOR including representatives of the most recent acquisitions, MERG and Aremis Consulting, will be on hand to answer questions and discuss issues.
-
The stand will offer a valuable new IMS publication, which was developed from a recent roundtable event on the Value of Medicine. The publication will be available to be collected by those who fill in a short survey on the stand.
