IMS Health can now offer the clients new insights based on data collected from the Swedish Pharmacy (Apoteket).
One of the new services based on pharmacy sell-out data will provide useful insights to its clients in terms of a more precise allocation of sales per brick as sales from the distance pharmacies and Apodose pharmacies are allocated to the brick where the patients using the products are living. For many products the difference in sales allocation per brick between the wholesaler data and the new more precise sales data is significant and will allow the companies to make better decisions and a more accurate measurement of sales rep performance.
Another service based on the prescription data will provide better insights to the clients in terms of e.g. patient segmentation data, prescriber information; date when the products are prescribed and dispensed, payer information and distribution channel information.
